Energy Engineer with Double MSc in Renewable Energy studied abroad, Javier knew his future had to be connected to sustainable technologies.
He worked within the solar energy sector in the business development area before focusing completely in hydrogen.
These 4 years of experience have lead him to tackle challenges in every stage of the hydrogen value chain, including production analysis, basic engineering (?), conversion cost studies, storage, transportation…
He has also been part in research and media projects aiming at increasing knowledge of hydrogen, in the form of several webinars or the podcast ‘El podcast del hidrógeno”.
Juan Palencia has more than 10 years of technical experience in the hydrogen sector in Germany, working as a Project Engineer in the validation and certification of components of the hydrogen value chain, especially in mobility and high pressure hydrogen storage.
In addition, Juan has promoted in recent years projects related to the development of Sustainable Mobility Hubs and is currently collaborating on projects with a high R&D&I component in Spain.
Executive MBA candidate from the University of Deusto is a Technical Engineer of Mines and Energy in his specialty of Energy and Fuel Resources from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Brais has 4 years of experience in the hydrogen sector, in which he started during his studies in Stockholm. He has a Double MSc in Renewable Energy at KTH (Sweden) and IST (Portugal) universities.
He has participated in projects ranging from the development of hydrogen HUBs to the elaboration of basic and conceptual engineering for hydrogen production plants and hydrogen refuelling stations. Brais has also collaborated with companies such as EDP in the development of concepts for the combination of offshore wind with hydrogen production.
Committed, creative and constant, he understands that the energy transition is the greatest challenge facing our society and therefore himself. Brais has been very committed with the dissemination of knowledge, leading several webinars and creating “El Podcast del Hidrógeno” in order to spread the hydrogen knowledge.
Laura gathers more than three years of experience in the field of R&D&i. She is specialised in renewable energy and hydrogen technologies after her studies at the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and the University of Oldenburg (Germany).
Her activities have been focused in the support for the application to national and European funding programmes in projects related to renewable energy and hydrogen for different clients, being responsible for the full application preparation.
She also counts with know-how for basic and detailed engineering related to remote power-to-power hydrogen installations and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
Marcos is an entrepreneur, Industrial Engineer, Master in Hydrogen and Fuel Cells at Aalborg University (Denmark) and MBA at IE business school with a specialty in corporate finance. During the last 12 years he has been dedicated to the hydrogen sector, founding 2 companies along the way.
Throughout his career he has specialized in sustainable mobility and fuel cells. He has participated in all types of fuel cell-powered vehicle projects and their recharging infrastructure. He has installed fuel cells in racing sailboats (Vendée Globe), competition karts, trucks, and even designed the first fuel cell car for the Dakar rally in 2015, which was finally 100% electric, being the first electric car to participate in the Dakar.
With more than 15 years of experience in the Energy sector, Yago has been leading projects of different kinds in the nuclear, renewable or fossil areas, especially in the field of turbomachinery and more recently in decarbonisation projects.
He has led multidisciplinary departments at global level, and lately he has been responsible for business in Europe, developing new markets in the Continent and in North Africa
Executive MBA candidate from the University of Deusto, Mechanical industrial engineer from the Polytechnic University of Oviedo. BEng from the university of Coventry (UK)
Two year’s experience at the CSIC (the Spanish National Research Council) within the Renewable Energies and Hydrogen Group of the Centre for Automation and Robotics. She was part of the group that developed the project “DRONGENO: Solar Hydrogen for Drone Autonomy”.
Under DRONGENO she studied the production of green hydrogen from various waste liquids through electro-oxidation processes. She was also part of the group that designed, assembled and tested PEM cells.
Laura holds a degree in Physics from the University of Santiago de Compostela, as well as a master’s degree in Renewable Energies, Fuel Cells and Hydrogen from the Menéndez Pelayo International University in Madrid.
Rafael is an industrial engineer with a broad knowledge of the entire hydrogen value chain and its integration within other sectors, which he has developed during more than 15 years of experience with these technologies. Thanks to this experience, he has been able to work on many hydrogen applications and its analysis from different perspectives (techno-economics, safety, environmental impact…).
As a researcher, carried out in national (INTA) and international (DG JRC-European Commission) research centres, he has focused on hydrogen production, storage and refuelling in mobility applications and its detection and/or measurement.
His cumulative experience has allowed him providing scientific and technical support for the development of European policies related to hydrogen, as well as international standards and regulations in the field of hydrogen technologies. Moreover, he has been involved in the definition and review of European programmes for the financing of hydrogen projects. He also took part in platforms that support European cities and regions for the implementation of hydrogen technologies.
Analytical, enthusiastic about teamwork and willing to collaborate on the development and implementation of hydrogen technologies and projects.
Philipp is a German Energy and Process Technology Engineer from the Technical University of Munich and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He worked as a process and validation engineer for hydrogen mobility components for 4 years, becoming an expert on hydrogen high-pressure and flow tests.
Since 2021, he is working in Vienna (Austria) on photovoltaics related projects and the development of new R&D&I plants for hydrogen electrolysers, fuel cells and power-to-X in different parts of Europe. Furthermore, Philipp is involved in the national standardisation committees for hydrogen technologies in Austria.
Our partner companies allow us to cover all the hydrogen value chain, from water treatment to power electronics, BoP or biomass assessment and treatment.
